As the title states, does the 871 get a worse signal?

I hate the two way remote. I have to replace them rather often.
They just go bad. I hate 'em.

This alarm has the same range as the other two. It features a 2-way transmitter, but it does not have the LCD screen. In my opinion the remote is not as sturdy as the 881/791 remote. The 2-way is also a little slower responding.

I've had my 871 for over a year... recently just pulled it from my monte and put it in my new grand prix. It's a good alarm, I was going to try a compustar(no reason really, just wanted to try something different), but I ended up just keeping the 871.
As for as comparing to the 881, same thing basically only the leds instead of a screen.
