DeWalt, if you don't mind spending a little more to have good tools.

GMC. My dad's is solid magnesium construction (light and strong) and has been left in the rain numerous times by him and keeps on truckin no problem. It also has a lazer guide which is really nice. Has plenty of torque to turn the blade.

All of our power tools are Dewalt, can be kinda high, but quality tools. From our experiences.

If your going to use it on ocasion to cut up MDF get something like

Ryobi
7-1/4 In. 12 Amp Circular Saw
Model CSB121K

From Home Depot

I have the next model up and it has worked flawlessly for over 2 years, with weekly use.

If your going to use it alot, buy a DeWalt. It will last alot longer.

Skil is what I always see the roofers and construction guys using. They rip.

porter cable makes a great circular saw. magnesium base, light weight, great balance, quick change blade. left or right side blade. electric brake.http://www.porter-cable.com/index.asp?e=547&p=5223
