Well, i have stock 6.5" up front and 3.5" in the back. i am going more for SQ considering i love the Sq commin outta my IDQ. What is a good brand and they will be 6.5's should i put up front? i am planning to get tang band 6.5" woofers for the rear fill but like i said i am wanting good SQ 6.5" coaxils around $100. i will be powering them no matter the watts.

Wow... We need like an auto responce for these types of posts... Good co-axials for under $100 = Rev's http://www.millionbuy.com/piotsd601p.html

the thing is i will only have this car for a year so i am not ready to spend money on a good set of comps. yet. Just a temporary new front stage.

is there any other good coaxils for around the price of the REV's?

well some good coaxils would be a definite improvement over stock,im curious why are you wanting to put 6.5 woofers in the rear fill, because if you got a sub in the trunk, the sub will make them 6.5 woofers pretty unheard.

kicker makes some good coaxils

you think i should leave the rear empty? I really could care less about the people sitting in the back i just thought those tang band speakers were wild.

12-30-2006, 11:06 PM
why not?

you have no reason NOT to get a good set of comps. regardless of what size speakers are stock in that car - i guarantee i could fit 6.5's in almost any car.

you will definatly want an amp for your front speakers. if you want SQ that is for sure. get a little profile amp from millionbuy and get some cheap components. thats way better than coax's IMO any day.

see, doesnt that make you happy? lol.

i would lkeave the back empty. thats just me. SQ = from in front of you.

ok, so you think the power acoustik component set would sound better than any coaxil's i could get for that price?

12-30-2006, 11:11 PM
find some alpine type s speakers. they sound better then both of thoes and dont cost a lot.

12-30-2006, 11:14 PM

how do these look?

12-30-2006, 11:27 PM
MB Quart DCD216$90 vs. Alpine Type-S SPS-171A $115 vs. CDT Audio CL-61A $130 vs. Kicker K6.2 $130 vs. Pold Audio db6500 $140 going for SQ and lowest price. I can power all of them fully and want SQ. anyone have a preference ?

Circuit City should have the KS's and REV's on their board, so you can demo them both. I ended up getting the REV's, very nice coax's for the $$$.

I also find it hard to believe that a cheapo comp set is better than a decent coax. A good comp set YES....

Out of that list, I like the CDTs. Will def. be better than the coax's.
