A buddy of mine got a set of CDT components for christmas so we put them in yesterday

And thats all folks... sounds really good... but im a SPL nerd.. have to get somebody with sq ears down here to help adjust the tweeter placement

Why not 6.5s? They will fit into them 5x7 holes. ;)

ummm 6.5 > 5 ... itd take some cutting plus the mounting depth isnt exactly the greatest
hence why we used the neo motor

they work pretty well... the deadening on the back of them helped alot
also i used weather strippign to help seal the speaker to the plate and the plate to the car

Nice , did ya deaden the outside( inside of the door) doorskins with the peel and seal too ? :)

in places... i also used some creative means to fill up the large holes found in the doors
its dead as he needs it to be

How much did those plates run you? And what model CDTs were those?
Did they have decent mid bass?

i think the comp set was like 150 shipped.. maybe 250 not real sure...
have to ask somebody else about midbass... i think it sounds good, but thats about as far as my sq judging skills goes
