Musta been the stuff with a backing, I think that the PE stuff is the easiest to use around. Also, why the 1" mdf (or are my eyes terrible..)?

....Those are excellent reasons to post when you're trying to make money:

1. You're lazy and don't care about the product.
2. You don't put in the effort because you aren't getting a lot when it takes even less to do a little extra work.

Nice.

the box came out just fine. i made all the cuts right, glued, clamped and screwed the wood together. I sealed it with silicone. So, I didn't round the edges of the port... it's not gonna make a huge difference. It's for a 10" sub.... it's not like he's chasing 1/10 db's. Yes, I **** at carpeting. Deal with it.

Maybe it won't matter, but people notice the attention to detail more than the essentials. ;)

And what's going on with your saw? Are you feeding it properly? I only ask because I only get kickback when I don't use my fence, the splitter after the blade, or am cutting something smaller than 1" off a panel.

I was cuttin one of the panels for the box, and the piece i wasn't going to use was against the fence. So I finished the cut, and the unused piece was still between the blace and the fence, so i smacked the edge that was hanging off the table to make it fall on the floor. Anyways, it just shifted over a couple inches and landed on the blade, which shot it against the wall

Maybe if people had lives.... BTW, maybe it's just me but when I read your posts it sounds like a little girl is biotching in my head....

Oh, how very true... Two drills FTW... Or one of those quick change bits...

Nail gun!

I've seen some nail gun boxes come apart.... So, unless you really know exactly what you are doing with it and have the right nails I would say use screws....

I was behind a saw that did this and it shot it into my left hand and luckily it only cut in and bruised it. Make sure you have the blade on your table saw about 2 or 3 inches taller than the wood that you are cutting. When you have it barely higher than the wood there are more blade teeth to catch on the wood and shoot it out.

what do you cover your boxes with? Your box is hidden which makes it an easy decision. My boxes look pimp with the routered edges and smooth carpeting job. Most ppl hate carpet because it takes alot of time to make it look nice. It is much easier to just cut a square box and call it a day.
