Additional information

Pictured below is a 1989 GMC 1500 long-bed truck with a Chevy grill. I purchased it used from someone here on base because they needed money and I needed a ride. Well its nearing the time where I'm going to be moved to Japan for the next 3 years and I can't keep this truck

The price is $4500 obo. A/C is ice cold. It'll come with the small car audio system seen in the pictures (JVC headunit, Pioneer amp and truck subs).

The tires are in very good condition with papers from Discount Tires. The alternator and power steering pump were recently replaced, and the paint is about 6 months old. Radiator endcaps were also inspected and replaced, and I just finished giving her a tuneup (sparkplugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and ignition coil). I haven't had this truck very long but its been good to me so far.

As with any truck there could be some misc. interior things that could be fixed/replaced. First thing would probably be the headliner, but that didn't bother me too much. The only other things I could think that would be wrong with the truck is that the glove box door has broken hinges, and the power window has trouble going up and down. Since the truck has A/C that blows snow I rarely ever feel the need to roll the windows down.

Please keep this thread clean, and if you have any questions or comments feel free to PM me. The truck is located in San Angelo, TX 76908 but I'll be going back to Houston, TX in the next few weeks for our christmas break. If I get my asking price I'll drive it out to you and take a bus/plane trip back if needed.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks!

I'll be in Houston Dec 22 - Jan 2 if anyone wants to seriously consider buying it. The price is VERY negotiable, and I will also consider trades for a car. Nothing expensive, just reliable for a family member.

Getting the title wouldn't be a problem. I have a credit card with a high enough limit to just pay my bank off. They would send the title to me, and I'd send it to the buyer. If I could get a deposit of at least $1000 (non-refundable) then I'd do whatever I needed to do to get the title. When I actually sell the truck the new owner would get the title on the spot. The money I get from the sale would pay off my credit card, and everything is all good at that point.

The engine runs really strong. The most recent thing that happend was the ignition coil pooped out on me about 6 weeks ago. I replaced that, the distributor, cap and rotor...along with all the spark plugs and wires. It has never given me any problems and it doesn't burn any oil what so ever.

I've made 3 long distance trips in the past 3 months with absolutely zero problems. I'm making a 400 mile one-way trip back to Houston this friday because they are letting us go home for Christmas. I am confident that I'll have zero problems with this trip as well.

Dual batteries? I think it would have been a diesel then. either way it is a great truck, and has been very reliable for me.

The price is $4,500 OBO. If you are serious shoot me an offer.
