Here's a box that I designed and am building for a member of another forum.

I have not used the Type R's, I just designed to the specs he gave me.

Heres the worklog.

Working Specs:

Desired Net Volume: 1.5 cu/ft
Desired Box Width: 26 inches
Desired BoxHeight: 14 inches
Desired Tuning Freq: 30 Hz
SQ Vent Width: 1.5 inches
Wood Thickness: 0.75 inches

I counter sink ~1/8 for all the screws and wood fill the holes after complete, then sand when the entire box is complete.

When I'm finished I post the rest.

I like the disclaimer that you had to work with the specs that he gave you. :laugh:

Tell him that box it .5 cubes too small and not enough port area. ;)

Nice work though. It should do ok.

Nice construction though, looks very nice.

i have heard them in small enclosures and they still thump but cabin gain played a big factor on how it sounded. so i hope that you will get the same results.

the build looks good. keep the pics coming.

Does the tuning frequency take into account speaker displacement?

yes, the total net volume is 1.78 cu/ft. ~.18 cu/ft for driver displament.
