supposedly one of their new creations...

i was told by someone that heard them running off a headunit (little power) that they were still loud and very clear. supposedly kept clear over the bass of a 13w7 on 2 1000/1s.

has anyone heard or used these? im really considering them on a nice 75w per side.

the quality of a component set will always always always always always always come down to the quality of the install.

if you install them well, they'll sound good.

Check this sticky out:

It will tell you everything you need to know.

If your install doesn't look like those pics, it's not done. I personally never knew what all was involved in a proper door speaker installation till i found this site, myself, but it's a lot more than simply cutting a new hole, and screwing them in.

they are bette than normal but there's better out there. I've spend a little time with them on our soundboard and they good for Pioneer. They need next to nothing on power and struggled at higher volumes to keep everything balanced and focused. It was being fed about 125rms. For that price comparable sets were CDT EFs, some of the Kenwood Excelon comps, Polk Db, JL XR.

i had the kenwood excellon xxv-04s components, which were their flagship speakers last year, and they were VERY airy and crisp, but lacked the 'raw' sound most people with heavy sub-stages want.

They'd better accompany a more SQ-oriented substage, but i wouldn't recommend them for trying to be 'loud'

best tweeters i've ever heard, tho, even at loud volumes they never became 'harsh' they were unreal

i head those premier comps and they sounded nice to me but seemed to lack detail, i would not consider them very hi end. IMO they look nicer then they sound.
