The panasonics are OK from what ive seen. They might be lacking in the SQ department compared to some of the pioneer, eclipse, and alpines in that range, and of course im sure a big chunk of the price goes to the fancy display. Looks like a decent unit though for the price.

i had the model before this one, had simular features.....the SQ did lack a little bit but i only used the preouts to a set of components. sounded decent enough, my pioneer deck definitly better, and the prs i used to have shats on both of those
however there are soooooo many bells and whistles it's redonkulous.....if this allows you to upload pictures and graphics from thier website by burning them onto cd, then you ocan have a slideshow of ******* on it liek i had on my old one. ******* I SAY.......certainly worth every penny i paid for it, which was only like 150 i think, this was about 2 years ago....the SQ will get you by....

i got the 9901u its bad as hell, and the sq on it is just as good or better than most pioneers.except mine has the 512 graphics which is alot clearer than the 4096

I had a CQ 8900 i had nuthin but problems with it but it was a good lookin cd player. It stoped playing cd's and the gears went out in the face plate.
