mt 12 box help [Archive] - Car Audio Forum

ok so im going to be getting my new basket and recone kit for my mt motor so i need to build a new box. ive searched around and havent seen too many about mt 12" boxes. anyone have any reccomendations? max is around 4.5 cubes total

What did you pay for the recone and basket? RE surpised the hell out of me today; only $130 for an 18" recone kit for a Destroyer :eek: Last time I talked to them was for a recone kit on an 18" MT and they told me $220 or some **** like that a couple months ago...

tony doesnt have a destroyer, he has a concept sub that hes just going to get a destroyer recone for

For an MT 12, you should be fine putting it in something that's between 2-2.5 cubes net with 30-37.5 square inches of port. I think the more appropriate question to ask is what kind of power are you going to be putting on that thing?

the sub is dual 1.4, will be wired at .7
amp is rated to do 3000@1 ohm

ok so i decided to go ahead and get some wood today so i can start on a box before my new basket and recone kit comes. box is 3 cubes with 45.5" of port tuned to 32. heres a few pics i took
