Crossover capability, slopes, internal EQ features...

I said I was using it as volume control? I was just stating the fact that I can turn the gain to 5v instead of 2...get a grip!

Does the alpine have the ability to get rid of the bass from my front and rear speakers?? I had a 9825 a while back and couldnt do it...guess it was the cheaper model huh.

iceteebone

i'd personally look into older units like the alpine 9835 or eclipse 8454 since you don't need an ipod interface and it seems you want some sort of processing

doesn't higher preout mean turning gain up LESS??? honest question btw

doesn't higher preout mean turning gain up LESS??? honestly question btw

yes. higher preout voltage means lower gain, hence why people think preout voltage is so important

Stupid. Completely incorrect. If you have higher voltage pre-outs, you turn your gains up LESS. :fyi:

Get the Pioneer, it has MUCH more tuning capabilities. Better Equalizer, 3way Xover, just an all around superior unit.

I don't think it's even a question about how it looks for me, the Pioneer has a much better sound quality than my Alpine. (880 vs 9855)
