Hey guys!

I would like to know which speakers you guys recommend for front doors.

They need to be 6.25".

I was thinking on getting MB QUART PCE216. What do you guys think?

Currently I am using Diamond HEX S500s in 8litters kickpanels and 2x100 amplifiers and I really like them.

But I am changing cars and I will beed a 6.25" component set, and I will put them on the doors. A few people told me the MB QUART are great for that.

What do you guys think?

Any other recommendation? Also if possible recommend an amplifier to go with the set.

the rainbow audio cmx's are 300, very nice set for the price. great midbass, precise mids, dynamic tweeter. great sound reproduction, too.

I've got a set of CDT EF-61CFi w/ Satnet 560 and TW-25 I could be persuaded to part with.

And an Elemental Designs 9.4 amp.
And a Coustic XM-7 active crossover.

Drop me a line.

Guys, another thing.

I am from Brazil but I am going to the US on December 3rd. Gonna be staying a few days in NY first, then heading to Colorado where I will be working till April.

After that I will spend a few days in Miami then head back to Brazil. Where is the best place? Should I just get on the Internet?

What about rainbow audio cmx's? Are they good if installed on doors? Which amplifier should I get?

yea you definately cant go wrong with rainbows. theres a deler on here- hes in pennsylvania. Deaden your doors to get the most of your speakers, i dk what to power them with, but i heard of people throwin 200 rms to them, someone who owns them can chime in.

Definetly deaden your doors...its a fairly cheap upgrade for what its worth. Do you like the sound the Diamonds offer? Do you want something else, well obviosuly, but what more are you looking for?

mine sound pretty darn good in my doors. they are running off a diamond audio d3 400.4 (182 x 2 @ 4 ohms) and they sound awesome.

So you guys think I would be good with:

Rainbow Audio Powerline CMX
Diamond Audio D3 400.4

Where can I buy online this set of components? How much will they cost? What about the Diamond Audio amplifier? You guys recommend any other amplifier?

What do you guys recommend to deaden both front doors? Just a DYNAMAT EXTREME DOORKIT? Is that enough?

I gotta bring that with me from the US because in Brazil it is hard to find car specific deadening materials.

Also which kinda of speaker cables you guys recommend for me to use with the Rainbow? What about RCAs? Thx a lot!

you can get the speakers from 6spdcoupe on here, not sure how much it will be since youre in brazil, or if he can ship it there, PM him. I used second skin's damplifier to deaden my doors, probably about 12-15 sq. ft. per door. www.secondskinaudio.com. raammat is also a good choice. for speaker cables, knukonceptz is pretty cheap so i got mine there. their karma rca cables are what i have, but even the klarity should suffice. www.knukonceptz.com

I will be staying there until April. Gonna spend a few days in NY then heading to Colorado where I will stay 4 months then I go to MIami where I am gonna stay a few days also.

Just so you guys know. My old system was the following:

Clarion DXZ-955MC (sold yesterday)
Diamond HEX S500s (on kickpanels custom-made - 8liters vented)
Amplifier Wharf Audio Flatlight2 2x100w (Brazilian)
JL Audio 10W6v2
Amp Fosgate 500M
Extra Battery on the trunk
RCA Soundstream
AudioQuest Type 4 (for sub)
Absolute Acoustics Speaker Cable (for speakers)

I contacted 6spdcoupe, now I am waiting for the answers about prices. So you guys think the CMX would be the way to go for a 250-350 budget?

Also which would be the best amplifier to get? For also around 200 dollars or so. Thanks so much guys!

I am thinking on getting a CLARION 765VD as a headunit for my new system. What do you guys think?

If anyone would be able to help me chose the amplifier please I would be so happy :P Also the headunit I am thinking on getting a Clarion 765VD. What you guys think?

Yeah but I heard their midbass is not so good. I think coming from a S500s, going to MB QUART Discus would be a downgrade.

I am thinking on getting either Rainbow Powerline CMX or MB Quart PCE216... What you guys think? Any other componenet sets?

cmx's for sure or get maybe some cdt standard hd's comps

around 320 contact dealers on this forum.

Amp's i like eD for budget amps, sundown and memphis for high end amps, and then arc for extremly high end along with zapco and others.

So which ones are better?

CMX or CDT Standard HDs? Anyone can tell me which dealer sells this CDT comp.

Also which Sundown/Memphis amp do you guys recommend? How much are those?

well the cmx use a titan type of metal compound tweeter, where as i think germs use a silk / cotton combination for their tweet. also germs have a better crossover for adjusting the set. IMO i would actually take the cmx's over the germs because i like the metal tweeter, and it not harsh, but imo it fits my taste. Dont get me wrong to you ur ears might have an ****** when they hear the silk tweets. but for 435 - 450 i think the cmx are better at a 320ish range

I can get the Rainbow CMX por $300.

Do you think it is a good choice?

Which amp do you guys think I should use?

I am also thinking on maybe getting some separate speakers and make a set. For example SEAS tweeters and mid, or something like that.

Still don't know :/

For a SQPL system what do you guys think?

My budget is $300.

Rainbow CMX
or
Seas L18RNX/P 7" + Dayton RS28A-4 1-1/8"

How much power should I send to the CMX?

id say 130 - 175 would be a very good power region with some headroom.

Some amp suggestions
sundown - 100.2 puts close to 135 x 2 @ 4
memphis amps - an m class amps that fit your bill
eD nine.4 can be bridged for 150 x 2 @ 4, and 65 x 4 @ 4 all rated at 12.5 volts
zed audio makes nice sq oriented amps that put out some nice power.

hey mike, thx a lot for the suggestions.

could you give me the prices on those amps and where can I buy them online?

how would they compare with like Clarion APX4360 and Diamond D6 series.

so you think the rainbow cmx would make a nice pair with those amps?

thx a lot!

I was checking eD website and the Nine.2X can fir my budget I believe. It costs about $265 right? 2x200 @ 4ohm. How is it for SQPL oriented systems?
