I keep hearing some people say that mounting your amp to your subwoofer box is bad and will shorten the life of your amp. Others say it doesn't affect the amp at all.
Thoughts ?

i do it, i just use screws small enough to not punch through the other side. i imagin the more powerful the sub the more you don't want to do it though.

another car audio "myth" like the "break-in" of a subwoofer or "underpowering" a woofer will kill it

People been doing it for years, with the same old problem . It makes for a quick all in one snatch in grab. But doesn't seem to bother most amps :)

Heh, yea, about that. I still haven't decided if I'm going with a second 8200 with a bigger box or do that.
