Anyone know where I can get one for my 91 voyager?

There is a leak from the line coming out of the gas tank.
Its only when the car is on though.

Yea they dont have anything in stock.

I just checked pep boys, I wonder if the fuel line repair kit will work?

There is a cut in the metal line from pulling it off the trailer a few months ago.
We thought we fixed it, but now its leaking again.

well if you can take it off and have acess to a tig welder id say drain it, wash it out and le *** air for a bit then hold a lighter next to it i guess to make sure no flamable fumes then weld the crack :D

section where the crack is, then replace with some nice rubber fuel lines and hose clamps

Yea I think Ill try that.

What we did was cut out the bad part, and pull the ends close together and use a hose clamp.

should work, i just replaced all the fuel lines in my beetle...

i used this stuff, but i doubt u would want to wait for it to ship :)


real nice with a cloth braid outside the line... but really depends on the size of your fuel line

nothing like leaky fuel lines to make your day.. especially when your driving down the road and its leaking on your hot exhaust

If i were you i wouldnt be screwing around with the rubber lines. If you are going to take the time to fix it i would do it right. If it is steel brake line i would just go get some of that and go that route. IMHO

Well I just picked up a rubber fuel injection line from autozone.

Im going to put that on, seal the ends, and clamp it down.

Okay it turns out I was wrong.

Its not steel braided.

Its rubber tubing just like what I got.
The thing is I dont know how to connect the old one to this new one.
Any ideas?

Got what I needed, installed it, and its leaking even more now.

How do I make the seal between the connections really tight?
Im going to go down to 5/16 instead of 3/8 and see if that helps for the tubing size.

Im using those metal clamps that you screw to tighten down.

get the t-bolt style fuel line clamps.

and don't decrease the size of your fuel line

flow is a function of pressure and internal diameter

so is it a rubber line or steel that has the initial problem...?

and the size of the new hose should be just big enough to fit over the old line, but this wont work if u are workin with rubber lines. My advice came from a leak in a steel line

I cut out the damages part, connected the new line via these connectors they have for this problem at autozone.

don't splice fuel lines......

maybe i have high standards, but fuel line is only a buck or two per foot, and i'd rather not take shortcuts when you're dealing with things that could potential destroy your car/end your life in an accident.

The problem is, I have the wall in and cant get to where it starts underneath the car.

And the break is only an inch from where the rubber line goes into the metal line.

well, i dunno, you probably just got the wrong size kit.

fuel lines are kind of tricky, because for any given OD, there could be a number of different ID. plus, some cars use metric fuel line, and some use imperial fuel line.

I'd take the piece you cut off somewhere that knows what they're doign, and they'll tell you what to do.

Well thanks for the advice guys.

I went down to 5/16.

It was real tight getting it on the tubing to connect the rubber lines together, much better than the 3/8s

That combined with using 2 clamps where the rubber line attatches to the steel line worked great.

I ran it for about 30 seconds, not even a small drop of gasoline.
Im going to go back in a few and see if there is any wet spots anywhere on the outside, but I think its sealed good as new.

Now I have to figure out how to get a 160 in a bandpasss..... ;)
