How do i calculate volume that looks like this

Because Im building a box for my s10 truck and i need to find out how to find the volume

**** it messed up but i tryed to create a box that goes behind the seat of a bench in a truck

Basically, you draw a line down from the shortest part straight to the base.. that gives you a rectangle (easy enough to calc volume there).. Then, you have a triangle left.. the formula for the volume is (I believe) 1/2 x base x height x width.. basically, it's 1/2 of the comprable rectangle you would if you took 2 triangles and flipped one over and put them together to make the rectangle.. make sense?

you right on the formula for figuring the volume of the triangle

ya take the top measurement and the bottom add them say 8 and 12 that be 20 divide by 2 so you get 10 then muliply that by height and width. after gettin that number divide by 1728 to get the volume in cubic feet
