View Full Version : pioneer REV 6.5s....how much power should i put on them?

Well, the titles pretty self-explanatory. How many watts should I put on 2 Pioneer REV comps? They are rated at 60 RMS and 260 MAX a piece. Going in my front doors.

i had like 60 in my 6x8's and somehow a mid blew

The mids on the components are pretty poorly made. I've had a couple different sets blow.

Anywhere from HU power to the recommended power. Doesn't really matter what you throw at them, they'll pop eventually.

i've got 65W on them and they're sounding great. i REALLY hope they don't blow (i have the coaxials btw).

I have 75W on each side with no problems for over 2 years now. Just high pass them and dont send them clipped signals and they should be fine.
