Nice truck for show, but it's not practical. Not good for actual off road. Plus, chrome = brittle metal.

No offense but those are the most rediculous trucks I've ever seen. Please please please tell me you're joking when you're saying those will own anything from the mainland as you call it.

I hope You're kidding - Seriously.

GA 4x4s = pwn those things, the first two, as stated, are completely impractical and would break

Friend of mine had an 04 F-350 4dr Long Bed on 11" and 38x16's, it was worthless in the mud or offroad, had to get a F-150 on 6" to pull him out - get seriousssss lol, and yes it was the 6.0 Diesel with an Edge System, 5" Full Exhaust and a Turbo Upgrade, in case anyone is curious

Another thing you should realize is that if you're on 6" of lift, you DO NOT need 35" tires that are 18.5" wide, holy **** that yota looks dumb

Nice little truck though

Oh, and if you're spending that much on lifting it to make it look cool - why not put 18's on there??

Man, don't you know what OC is known for? Snobby girls with bmw's and guys driving big lifted trucks. A guy living down the street from me has a F250 with a F550 transmission. 26 inches of lift on like 54's or something (I know its in the 50's). It was built by a local shop, Rolling Big Power...just take a look at their gallery:

I've got a supercharger in my garage for it, actually lol

Dood I've got to find a nice, reputable shop within two hours of me, I'm taking out about 5 grand, that gives me 2 grand for a 68 mustang I'm gonna grab and start to restore and 3 grand for rims and audio ;)

lol, i was just offroading with my friend in his ranger on wednesday and it got stuck going through like a foot deep mud. pretty good for a stock 4x4 and 31's. and while we were waiting for someone to come pull him out we built him hoodscoop out of mud, it made him go faster.

i cant wait for my girls dad to get his crawler back together. a jeep yj all sprung over, just put currie dana 44 front and 60 rear in it with 4.56 gears, front and rear air lockers, all painted up and under as well, 37" tires, 4 wheel disc, atlas transfer case, pretty much only a jeep body, and a somewhat tricked out jeep motor, about 330hp but with 4.56's who cares a V8 someday.

they dont give you more torque. that is too bland of a statement. they give you the same amount of torque, just at a different rpm range. the argument between horsepower and torque can go on for days. more power can carry tall gears as well as less power can pull 5.72s in the mud. personally i would split the gears in the middle and have huge power and 4.10's. but that is all a personal preference.

I had a white 94 explorer with the 4.0 v6 a couple years ago. Unfortunatley I totalled it before I got to build it but they are exactly the same as a Ranger pretty much. Everything that fits on a rangers front end will fit on an Explorer, so parts are easy to come by. Fiberglass in the rear is kinda a ***** cuz you have to cut body panels and flush the glass to the doors to make it look right. And sometimes it's hard to get a lot of travel out of the rear because it's not a pickup, but you can cut out the floor or some companies have come out with a cantilever (sp?) systems now so you can pull 16-18 inches with bypasses yet still keep everything under the rear floor. HIt me up with any questions you got and I'll be glad to help you out.

ha, just saw about an 00 F150 at one of the parking lots at school today. converted to straight front axle and 4-linked. saw a brand new 4 linked jeep yesterday with dynatrack front and rear ends under it. thats all i could tell from it driving down the road. but my gf's dads crawler still looked better and was much mroe hard core. so still, as far as ruggedness, usability, and overall quality, mainland trucks still pwn the *** out of hawaii trucks.

And skwurly, thanks for the info i'm probably gonna go pretty basic on the rearend and just go deavers with bypasses to a cage. The floor will be coming out completely most likely, and then i'll may refabricate another one out of sheet metal at a later time =]

cuttin the floor and buildin a hoop for the shocks would definitly be the easier method. And rebuilding the floor wouldn't be too complicated either, just time consuming. Here's a couple pics of Speed Unlimited's cantilever set up. Very nice, not sure on the price though. And I swear there's some other company makeing a cantilever kit as well but I couldn't find anything.
