View Full Version : Diamond Audio D661s vs CDT CL-61A

In need of a new front stage. When I get a new amp for my sub, it will overpower my other speakers at 1% volume.

I am looking at the DA D661s and the CDT CL-61A. Both of these have the silk dome tweeter, which is a must because I can't stand any hint of extreme highs.

I can get the D661s for $180 + shipping and the CDT's for $140 shipped.

I have heard good things about both of these comps, but i'm wondering wich will have better SQ and Output to better match my sub.

i am using the cl61 myself and they sound so :yumyum:, My brother had the diamond hex's and liked my comps so much better he recently got the cl61a/24 with the bigger more powerful tweeters they only cost 20 bucks more then mine.

The SQ the cl61a speakers produce is got be some of the best i have ever heard without spending over 500 bucks or so.

CL61a handsdown over the d661a!

Well I ordered the CDT CL-61/TW-24 ... with the upgraded 1" tweeter. Also picked up some 10" square dynamat to put behind it to make a better sounding install.

Now I'm just gonna have to find a spot to put my tweeters at :crap:
