ok so my car has a 6.5, 3 or 4 inch (can't remember which), and a tweeter in the front doors. is it worth it for me to replace all three speakers? or should i just get a 6.5 and tweeter component set? one thing to consider, the speakers have kind of crappy placement. the midbass fires right into your ***. so a lot of that sound can get lost. however, i will have a sub, so i am not worried about strong midbass.
also, any recommendations? :naughty: i would like it to be 200ish for the set, not more than 300. and i don't like over powering tweeters. i like the highs, but not harsh sounding.

If you have the means..why not a three way set like whats in there now?
BTW..midbass doesnt = subbass

okay, i checked and they are 4" i guess i am asking, is there an advantage to getting it? will i notice a difference? and i meant that i don't need loud midbass, since i should have plenty of bass from the dub or mag :)

If i was lucky enough to have a car with room for a 3way from the get-go, i'd feel guilty not putting 3ways in it. BTW, midbass isnt sub bass...if you get badly performing midbass drivers you'll get a nasty drop in volume around the crossover point between your midbass drivers and your sub. There's nothing worse than hearing a bass guitar suddenly half in volume because its pitch went from 80hz to 110hz, then seem to suddenly get louder as it climbs over 200hz. Ugh.

It's troo^^
good midbass sounds weird at first, but once you get used to it, systems without it sound weird.

You are going to have problems finding a decent three way for that price. I would save up and still buy the 3 way though.
