I plan on getting Rainbow SLC's 6.5's for the front and plan on feeding them 70-100 watts. I currently have 2 12" alpine type r's and am now looking into some 6x9 speakers (not comps though). I'm not to sure about 6x9's, I just want a little something in the back for the passengers, nothing too fancy or expensive. I'm looking to spend around a $100-$150. Thanks

Sounds nice! I run the alpine type s 6x9's. Proper tweeking can add a little bump and some good highs. It can be a nice compliment for those of us who like rear fill or carry passengers.

Does anyone on here have experience with 6x9 component sets?

well, if u just want rear fill, i would suggest some 6.5's, it seems to me that you get better high end frequency response from them than 6x9's

why not match it up with either the SL6X9 or the KX6X9? ALthough I would lean more towards a 6.5 as well..sl165/KX165.

I just heard the Eclipse 6x9's they have a circuit city, not sure of the name, but they were $160 there, so probably $110-$140 anywhere else and they were 4-ways...They had GREAT high end as well as a DEEP, loud low-end...I would recommend them for that cheap of a price.

The Vibe ones are like $170 i thought. I think the Tang Band ones are pretty cheap though. Once I get everything in my car ill asses what needs to be done from there by how it sounds:up2somet:

i made a thread a few weeks ago about those vibes, and someone attached a link, i'll try and find it later

i finally have a bank account again now, so internet purchases are once again possible, maybe i'll try some out in the near future

i'd completely have to fab something up to mount 6x9's in my car, tho
