pretty muc narrowed it down to thse two

is there anywhere to buy either of them authorized online other than sounddomain who is out of the jbl. also where to get oz authorized?

rainbow is close behind but im seriosuly starting to doubt everyone on here who recomends them. nothign against rainbow, nor am i doubting their quality. it just seems everyone on here is saying rainbow without even thinking and im curious out of all those people who actually runs htem and who has actually even heard them.

for those that are going to recomend raibow, obviously the germs and the profi line fall into this price range. feel free to comment on them if you wish.

looking for something that will just be awesome at playihng hardcore/speed metal/ anythig eles heavy

edit:found the oz list of internt sales and jbl

Last I heard, csuflyboy at elitecaraudio.com is an authorized dealer for OZ.

did you try to contact OZ or JBL to see if they had authorized online dealers? Well I am not real familiar with the type of music you would be listening to. I am not sure if great detail is important to you. If not I would not recommend the rainbows to you. I run them now I have the Germs as well and for the money there is nothing better and I have had my share of components. I like the OZ over the JBl but once again if having a detailed set of speakers is not going to be your focus then I guess that leave the JBL's. Just my .02!! I know everyone is on the rainbow band wagon but trust me it is for a great reason. They just simpley perform. So I would not rule them out becasue everone is recommending them to you.

OZ has a few authorized dealers...

This list came from their website. If there are no dealers in your area you can always order direct from OZ. I got my MEs that way for WAY cheap.

BTW.. You can't go wrong with the MEs. ;)

The jbls arent a bad sounding set. Like mentioned above they arent the most detailed sounding set, but they will more than likely have stronger midbass than the other sets mentioned. So if strong midbass is something your looking for, then the jbls will do just fine for you.

thanks guys
and i had already found the authorized sites for them

this has been the hardest decision bc no one, even in the bigger city or wilmington, carries any of the top of th e line series of any brand. its pretty frustrating.
