So I picked up a set of these diamond M5 series components for the right price on eGay
I was wondering if anyone had any information on these whatsoever, they were produced around 5-6 years ago.
I called Diamond and they do not have any information on these anymore.
A little input would be nice, such as specs and what they sound like and such.
I ran the search function and couldn't find much about these.
Thank you in advance

I don't have specs on the M5's but one thing about them that I can tell you is that a certain batch of their midbass drivers were defective and the aluminum basically disentegrates if you have one of these sets... Had to warranty one for a customer about 3 months ago. That is the extent of my experience though, other then that I hope they work out well for you!

You warranted something that's 6 years old?

The changed to M6 around '03, so if a set was sold around then or even overstock, then that would fit within the original 3 year warranty provided.
As yes the midbasses M6s included fell to pieces on alot of sets.

I called diamond and they said this set was very different from the m6
Who knows
I'll just have to get them and install them, If they made it this far i doubt they will be disintegrating

Meaning the M5s AND the M6s. DA can deny it, but its a fact. However I never said they were the same driver.
