much more room now

box from inside the car
http://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/c9f1e9401d.jpg

from da back
http://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/54e0bea84d.jpg

should be enough space for it to breathe, but no room for groceries
http://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/f333a29be3.jpg

box wasnt sitting all the way down... didnt account for this little guy
http://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/774f25e046.jpg

big daddy hammer dont play
http://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/1835833413.jpg

now as you can see here in the pic below, there is not quite enough room for the box to fit in with the top on it... this was before i hammered out that bump... the box sits down on the floor now, but i didnt exactly cut the metal quite large enough, i just cut along right where that seam starts so i would only have to cut through one piece of metal instead of an overlapping 2 (if u have a mustang u know what im talking about) and i guess it was just at 15" but the box needs a little more room... so i guess ill have to cut off another 1/2" or so.. there is still about 3/4" of metal before i would cut off the part the back seat mounts to so it should be goodhttp://www.mypicturespace.com/uploads/c9f1e9401d.jpg

got the L7s today but my boss just asked me this morning to go to some BBQ party bullshit or w/e after work to take pictures or something so i guess ill resume workin on it later tonite

And make it slide through.
And once everything bolted back on you couldnt see anything.

yup exactly... the limiting factor for width then is the shock towers (38") and if you just wanna cut at that seam on the top (much easier), its about 14" tall...

well anyways i got it almost done... the woofer holes are cut out, the top is screwed on, and the ***** is siliconed up waiting for it to cure... now i just gotta find some 1/0 wire so i can fire it up this weekend

its some kind of material i got at walmart.. i thought i remembered someone on here saying they had speaker box carpet at walmart... so i went and looked and didnt see any, but they had this stuff and it was dirt cheap ( i got 75 square feet for $5) so i thought what the hell...

i also found that NAPA has 1/0 battery cable for $3 a foot... which isnt bad at all plus there is one near me so dont have to worry about shipping... still looking to get fuseholders and terminals etc prolly gonna get some stinger ones from sounddoman

it is sooo hot out right now so when it cools off a little im gonna get the amps mounted and figure out what to do with the floor...

progress update...

well i'll be ****ed if my image host didnt get bought out or sold or whatever... so all of my pic links previous are no good... o well ill fix em later... havent done much, package from knukonceptz is due tomorrow, and parts for big 3 should be here thursday...

here is the distro block i got mounted and **** i shoulda used gromets cause i drilled those holes after covering the board... but anyways, still clean all wires will be hidden :D

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l200/wesl56/DSC02486.jpg

i figure this is the eaisest way to get power to the other side of the trunk... run it overhead along the bottom of the rear deck... i just hung it up there to test measure, ive got a split loom to cover it
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l200/wesl56/DSC02487.jpg

great stuff out the ***... should have the trunk area pretty much all sealed up... air should only vent through the rear deck and into the cabin from the front

the floor didnt work out, i got a board that was 1/8" thick and the box wouldnt fit with it in there, so out it went... i cut some small pieces to fit in the very rear of the trunk to cover the part of the floor where the box doesnt cover, but ill get to that later...

just wondering, my 06 L7 15's are in a 9.5cf box tuned to about 38hz with 80sq of port . and i have 2 Phoenix Gold xenon 1200.1 with the xload bypassed so each one of my L7's will get between 1700-1800rms a piece. (well i will be bypassing xload this weekend anyway)

right now im only running 1 of the x1200.1 with xload not by passed so there each getting about 600-659rms a piece and it is loud as hell, cant wait to hook the other amp up this weeked.

how many cubic feet is your box? are those the 12's or 15's?

and you heard it when the port was tuned to 31hz and only had a port area of 45sq and now it has an areea of 80sq and tuned to 40hz, so its even louder now, i get my other amp back today and will be throwing abot 1700-1800rms to EACH sub, and thats pure power coming from a pair of pheonix gold xenon 1200.1's

i get between 1700-1800rms by bypass xload, it gains about 30% over normal, at normal its a little over 1300rms.

so theres some serious power going to those subs soon :)

idk.. im using the stock deck and a cheapy LOC at the moment... i just regrounded both of them to a new spot and no change... i think maybe i need to ground the rcas out of the loc... thing is tho it worked fine with just the front amp hooked in, but with the other set of rcas there is noise

power wire runs on opposite side of car to the back, but then does run near a rca but that only from one sub amp to the other
