How much room from magnet to back of box?

Putting some IDMAX's in a box. They have an 8.25" mounting depth. How much room do I need to leave behind the magnet? The less the better for me. But I don't want to hurt performance at all.

I'd aim for 3" as a minimum..... though you could probably get away with a bit less.

How big is the pole vent. Shoot for at least that.
