I was just looking for a pic of an oldschool vibe amp, and stumbled across a neat pic, it's a square 6 x 9, and it looks 1/2 way decent

anyone know anything about them?

pic for views:

Here is a better picture of it.

And to say Lanzar is garbage, shows how much you know about what your talkn about ;) I can think of at least 5 competitors who use Lanzar Opti amps that im SURE are way louder than you.

that looks so nice, i wish i could fit 6 x 9's in my car, i would imagine midbass would be much less of a problem for me

I was mistaken on the price, it seems its been lowered on them. Id still like to pick up a set if it had anything to put it in, lol...

i was saying lanzar in general is. yeah the vibe and opti series are top performers. i kno this. and i'm pretty sure that those competitors are louder to me seeing as how all i have are 3 speakers in my car right now. hell everyone is probly louder than i am. but after someone mentioned it, i see it's an actual "vibe" company and not lanzar vibe.

that changes things.

Holy crap, look at the magnet on those boys! 175rms is sort of a lot for a 6x9 though. Im interested to hear the bass that comes out of those...

I looked around and so far ive seen them rated at 175RMS and 200 RMS with a max of 400

What impedance do they have, i cant seem to find it....
It also says that they play down to 30hz, Im intrigued, these look nice

Looks like the woofer and tweeter have different power terminals. How would you hook up something like that?
If I have a 75x4RMS amp and i have the front two channels running the componants could I use the rear two to run a pair of these boys?

By the way they run at 4ohms

Wait.

Do these have built in x-overs?

I'd have fun running them active. :D

Guess they do.

The specs sheet says that the magnet is only 40oz...looks bigger than that

Im assuming that thse can be run "free air" without an enclosure???

no clue, scan the perimeters

in line 12db x-over
recomended enclosure 2.3^3
the impendence is 3.6 ohms

with a recommended enclosure that large, you could realistically port those bad boys to 60hz and let them tear your midbass a new arse.

I may switch the b-channel on my component amp to mono, bridge these bad boys to 2 ohms, and port them for my midbass.

I know mixing subs is bad, but could i theoretically build a forward-firing enclosure that sits on top of my subwoofer enclosure, peaking over the rear seat?

It's a stationwagon, btw.

I don't see how it could cause cancellation if the i used my sub to play 60hz down, and tune these to 60hz and use them to play 60-250hz.......

Let me know what you think. I just wish these came in a component setup, since i wouldn't be using the tweet, it'll look a bit silly, imo.

I don't have any way to pay for these right now, but i should have a new checking account in a week or so, imma have to pick up a pair if you guys say my idea will work. My midbass ***** in my audi, even with my rear speakers in sealed enclosures.
