Well I recently picked up a SONY STR-DE515 at a garage sale for 5 bucks while i was in Washington state and went through hell to get it home in my carryon, but i couldent pass it up for 5 bucks.

I also have a SONY STR-D715 laying around, so i will sell one, then use the other for my outdoor stereo system. I am just using 2 decent old speakers, so the surround sound features on both of these are irrelevent to me. I have listened to them both with the speaker i will be using and really cant tell much of an audible difference in them.

The D715 seems older, but it is heavier and seems like it might be a higher end model.

The DE515 seems at least a year or two newer, but it is smaller, a little lighter and seems like it might be more entry level, except it has a sub woofer output??

I really dont know much about either of these units, they basically all have the same features, they are both 100w x2ch, and they have both sold recently on ebay for about the same price (~50-60$)

let me know what you guys think, i will keep one, then throw the other on ebay.

thats what i was thinking too, but pretty much all powered subs/sub amps have high level inputs anyway, so thats not much of an issue either

Whatever you do, hook me up with the other one for cheap please.

If they both sound the same to you, I'd keep the one with the subwoofer out on it.

Since you don't know the history on either of them I would keep both of them incase one dies...... That way you have a spare...
