well this is my second box, and so far its been sooo much better faster and easier than the first. i learned a lot from the first and its really helping, it took me about an hour to buy and cut the wood im now on to sanding... if there is any intrest ill post some pics if not ill just wait until the finished product. Btw its 2.95 cubes at 32 hz for an elevation audio execution 15 inch sub

yup. next time just wipe off any extra glue while its still wet. it takes a minute and is alot less work to do it now than later.

other wise it looks good.

Painting is going to be a lot more work than carpeting. It will also show more imperfections.

If you have a sander, then clean up those edges. Even with the carpet, you can still see some larger panel misalignments. Beyond that, throw on some charcoal carpet and I'd say that it was a success :)

PV Audio

Oh and run a line of caulk across the top of the front baffle. It doesn't look like the panels are touching. No air leaks for joo.

jeeper07
07-15-2006, 10:49 PM

Dont run wires through ports, it will change the response of the box

get another an make it a pair:naughty:

try messin' round w/ the placement, most ppl i know have had best results in hatches w/ sub up, port back. but theres tons'a variations/cars so possibilites are endless:crazy:

yea, i would think .0000001 cu.ft. of wire wouldn't alter it too much to where its noticable ?

PV Audio

I have no idea as to why he said that as I can't see where it would make any difference at all.

squeak12
07-15-2006, 11:03 PM
IF it does, it wont be noticeable to the ear. Is it reaching full excursion? If not, bigger box will help with the same power.

^^ I was thinking the same. A little upping of the Vb might do wonders.
