Adire Extremi 6.4
Mpyre Audio 65M (based on extremi)
AA Poly Mids

right now, they'ed go into an IB door situation.
yes, I know the AA's are cheaper..that IS a factor, but out of these three or suggest 1
I'm ready to buy tomorrow.

ive heard the AA's have lead slap. And the other two would be good but the mounting depth is deep.

i say you should do dual 8" dayton RS with a 2" dome mid and call it a day :naughty:
but of those choices i would say the extremis.

I'm tempted to get the Extremis mids too but the dayton ones seem to be good... IDK, the dayton ones will cost less than ONE extremis...

so do the poly mids.:crap:

i'm torn.
From the Daytons:Utilizing a low-distortion motor system with two short-circuit paths and a rigid aluminum cone, the Reference Series can outperform drivers that cost several times the price. Their low-distortion characteristics and high excursion capabilities provide exceptional clarity, detail, and dynamics Xmax=6mm??

the extremi/mpyre's are like 13 and 15mm one way w/XBL^2 motors

i thought you were buying tomorrow?
i still think that you should get the aa poly's first since they are so cheap.
if they do what you want them to do then great, you saved some money.
if they dont you could sell them on here for not much less than you paid for them and buy the extremis/mpyre's

but i still think you should go 3-way with a 10" in the door :up2somet:

extremi 6.4's aren't available yet. same w/mpyre. they used a company for parts that has the name HEMP in it. the US customs is having a field day with them.

DONE. Pulled the trigger on the AA Arbiter TM set. Got vifa xt25 tweets and AA Polys for $80 a set. The tweets cost more than the midbass.

The Extremi 6.4 and Mpyre ARE NOT available at this time.

focker out.

I think you'll be very happy with the AA mids/tweets. I put in a set a few months back, along with an old 15" Tempest in a ported box. Running front stage active and SQ is awesome, but it will crank when necessary.

Of course some guys have "upgradeitis", so these may just be a stepping stone to the next "latest and greatest" thing out there.
