The past two days i've been remodeling my bathroom, and I happened to notice that the bathtub is made out of sturdy flexible plastic... I also managed to find a piece of plywood from the bathroom floor that covers the top perfectly. The tub's volume is right at 8 cubed feet. I was just wondering if this would make an ok box... i don't care that it may look like trash, but more as to if it would work lol. Would liquid nail be an ok sealant for plywood to plastic or would it not seal good... should i sand the plastic real good prior to using it if so? Also the drain on the tub makes a perfect place for the wires to run out lol. I'd be looking at putting two 15's in it, any ideas as to if it would work before i waste a couple hours??

Well it seems like it may work...

But when you turn the water on that would probably be bad for the sub and all the wiring in it.

what about a toilet. that would be funnier. a toilet in the back of a suv as an enclosure. hmm, lets make a fiberglass box to look like one.

I didn't waste much time on it, after just testing it once i found out that this bathtub is made out of really flexible material and when i played 20 hz it would wobble like none other. So now i've just decided to scrap the entire bathtub and make a wall turnin my whole trunk into a box.

Sure it's plastic and not thin fiberglass ? Throw a couple stiffening ribs in that bastage, and seal it with some polyurethane. Bubble bath from hell :)
