how much cu. ft. do 6.5" speaker boxes need? like .2 cu ft ? im goin to use 1/2" mdf

My fiberglass doorpods are .52 cu. ft sealed each. I have made them as small as .1, .2 before.... I like the larger ones A LOT MORE.

what differences did you see between .1 .3 .5?

.1-.2 were good enclosures if all you were concerned about was 100hz up and mainly isolating the backwave... .5 REALLY opened the low end.

(.5 is HUGE BTW.)

the smaller enclosures will allow for more mechanical power handeling.

I (in your situation... building out of wood and all...) would do an in door installation with proper deadening.
