The instructions say 10 hours. I haven't had them at more than 1/2 volume, but I'm wondering what exactly this pertains to? If I turn the mid-bass down on the hu, can I turn up the volume on the tweeters? Or, does this mean for both tweeter and mid? 9 more hours to go until I get to play 'em loud.

You can leave any/all settings as you would normally play em, just keep em at a moderate level for the first 10hrs or so.

Does that go for both models of the SLC's, or just the kick versions?

Is there a break-in on Germaniums, too? I haven't installed mine yet, but I didn't notice any mention of a break-in in the owner's manual that came with them.
