Hi I have been lurking around these forums for a little while, searching and learning.
im in a bit of a dilemma. Im want to do a 5.1ch system in my car, a 2003 accord coupe V6. i've narrowed down the component sets to two: the JL Audio ZR's or the Rainbow Germaniums. Ive listened to the ZR's and they sound pretty nice but I can't say the same for the rainbows. anyway which one is the better speaker set

or
Germaniums

if it helps i listen to music like: Anthony Hamilton, Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado, Sade, Seal, and Linkin Park just to name a few.

Just my opinion....i have heard the JL ZRs and there were ok and highly over priced. I then bought the Rainbow Soundlines without even listening to them and going on the advice of others. I thought that the Soundlines sounded just as good if not better as the ZRs which were on the demo board compared to the Soundlines in my car. I would say go for the Germaniums since they are considerably better the Soundlines which I feel where equal to the JLs. I got the rainbows from Don (6spdcoupe), PM him and he is a great guy and will help you out if you have any questions.

i have pretty much the same car (2005 v6 coupe) and i bought a set of profi kick bass' from don also. he can tell you exactly where to place the tweeters.....he turned out to be be my beta tester LOL.

now as far as amps go whats a good brand to pair with the rainbows? if i'm going to drop $800.00-$900.00 on them i want them getting good power...

well germaniums are not 800-900$ they are around 450$ and amps if ur going strickly quality id suggest arc audio amps, kar series best budget performance amp imo. Or if u want even better quality xxk series. ask don about them hes and arc dealer, but i dont think he can ship :-(.
