If you arent getting lows with a 31Hz tuning frequency, then you need to try a different driver.

I would suggest making the box larger, but you cant do that now can you :crap:

I have a 28" x 18" x 18" box out in the shop you can have for $25 + shipping.

It was an experimental design and needless to say it did fantastic 22-30hz, 30-35hz was average, but the rest wasn't anything special.

You have to make sacrifices when it comes to low end, in your case it's probably space.

How low are you trying to get?

My x is tuned to 30hz, but if i turn it up enough to get the lows to POUND hard, the 40hz range gets PEEEEAAAAKKKKYYY, i'd go sealed if you're trying to get lower in that space.

Tune the box to the frequency where you can speak proper english.

I know people will bash this, but you have the money, checkout www.nolteaudio.com. His enclosures get any subwoofer to get extremely loud and low. My friend has 2 8" CMPs in a doubleshot and it's louder in the 32-37hz area than my friends type R in a 2.2 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz. His 8s get sick low.
