How much does it cost to install system?

I have a tahoe with factory alarm system on it and i want to replace it with the viper 791xv which i plan on buying online now i was wondering around what price would it be to get it installed with a tow sensor and proximity sensor? thanks

If you bring it to a shop, expect to pay at least $150 from most places, and even more for the add-ons.

my shop does not install customer alarms. to much of a hassle. unless it was a brand we carry. expect to pay more then normal though because its not their alarm.

I only do DEI units...and we charge a little extra to do one that wasn't purchased through us.

Also, we don't warranty squat if it's a customers unit...

Thanks for replies, what about circuit city or best buy would they install customer alarms i know they carry viper. would it be around 200 from them?

CC sells the Python 881XP (same thing as the Viper 791) for $500 installed.

i would reccomend going to a shop though rather than CC or BB, im not sure how their installs on alarms are there, but at a local shop theyre most likely going to have more experience installing them, we work alarms more than anything now

i went to best buy the other day lookin at alarms. viper 791 - 509 installed. i told the guy that was a crazy price. he got mad and didnt seem to want to help me after i said that.
