i would suggest gluing/screwing the ports before the paint. otherwise, great job, nice cuts.

thats wierd last time i painted my ports on only gained 28whp, maby i should have tried one more coat:silly:

It turns the port black... Duh!!!!
That's a good looking box BTW, almost James Bang quality there, but your getting there.

And I got your email too late apparently.
yeah, but the email was pretaining to the box im building for my DD... I decided to cut the wood for it anyways, i plan to build it a certain way, but since the 9500 is 9.7" deep idk if it will work (may need a double baffle)

yeah used to do that, but unless the port is 5.5+ its hard to get the can in there with no runs... and for some reason atleast for me, it always seems to never get the edges as good.

its for looks
the hammered spray paint actually acts like a golf ball(you know how far they fly) and release the air 10x faster causing faster release and a .8 gain
hmmmm i wonder how many ppl are gonna try that now:offwall:

Why prime it if you didn't fill in the screw holes or the blend the seams??

i live in a building complex (apartment)
I build all my boxes in my spare room... when it comes time to paint them I have to drag the box down the 20 stairs into the lawn and spray it... I could not do this because the wind. 15+mph. so i draged the box to the laundry room and sprayed it there.
**** its so much easier to carpet:crazy:
