i heard the focals in a soundboard at my local audio dealer and i was very disappointed in them for $800 dollar speakers. maybe im just not an audiophile but i was hoping for better sound.

soundboards are not cars......
I find the SQ in stores to be totally bogus compared to
real life conditions

Bostons for plug and play. Focal for potentially excellent sound quality and realism.

Focals are KNOWN to have problems with linearity of sound, their output is skewed in the higher midrange band. I think if you honestly want the most realistic response, Bostons are the obvious choice.

Unless you can give the Z6 enough power (200-500 wRMS EACH), go with a set of Boston Pro60's. My Z6's are getting about 300 watts each and they get really loud and sound good doing it, but they are power hungry :up2somet:
