View Full Version : DLS 6.5" - 3way vs 2way...which is better?

I am going to buy a set of either DLS UR36i (3way) or UR6i (2way) speakers for the front of my car.

Are there any downsides to the 3ways vs the 2ways? I assume the 3ways will sound more full and maybe offer more volume and mid-range?

They will be powered by 60Wx2 RMS but I don't know if the 3ways need more power since there are two additional speakers?

Any info would be appreciated :)

Looks like I am going to move up to an Alpine PDX 4.150. Will this be powerful enough?

What about my question about the power required to drive a 2way set vs a 3ways set?

hah 3 ways are going to require alot more power than that. for waht you have there, i would recommend the 2 way.

Really, this is news to me :eyebrow: How much power would I need to run the 3ways?
