would 2.9 ft^3 be too big for a type r?

im turning that crappy bandpass into a fiberglass for a type r, and my calcs after port and sub dis. give me 2.9 cubic ft tuned to 35 Hz. Is that box gonna be too big for a 12 inch type r?

I'd stay closer to 2.3 or so.

That's awefully big, if you must get it that big, tune it a little higher, 37-39hz. Otherwise....^^^^^what he said.
