they are going in a boat and i need something with clear loud sound that i can hear over the engine, which of these should i go with, im buying tomarrow?

i'd take the bostons but i guess i'm bias. i don't like teh harsh tweeters and i think the bostons would be the least harsh

Were you aware that many manufacturers sell marine specific speakers?

yes, but marine products dont have as much quality as car products, and its over priced. i have a safe place to mount these speakers so its good.
