**** i would too kuz i know someone would see what it could do. i was at a dealer yesterday picking up my dads new car and they had a cts V in the showroom and they said that the owner was the only one with the keys kuz one salesman wrecked one seeing what it could do.

I cant believe no one else notice that this C6 is blown! I cant even imagine the torque that thing produces. They have about 400hp at the crank stock but with that supercharger it will easily take down any new Z06 (straight line of course)

bumpin_blazer

still though if he bought a c6 at 55k spent 80k more and is sitting at 135k take a z06 put 40k into it and there aren't many cars period that'll beat it.

its great in all but remember its still just an american pos car that is full of problems. just the other day a ton of the new vettes were recalled because the roof flys off, i mean come on, how hard can it be to make sure that a cars roof stays on. and they wonder why the american car industry is not gonna survive.

dont be ignorant...you think import cars never have recalls? things alot more serious than that...

I'd buy one if I had the money... After I had already bought a couple 911's, and a Mustang Cobra, and a Mercury Marauder. Then I might have room in my heart for a Chevy.

no its just that i have dealt with both. my dads shop gets in probably 90% domestics and 10% imports. also my fam has owned prob like 5 or more domestics that last no longer than 100k miles where as the honda civic bought in 1985 is still going strong with over 250k miles, the 95 civic with over 115k is going strong and my lude with almost 200k is great though i did an engine swap. also parts are next to nothing where as for my parents grand voyager van its unreal the prices just for something as simple a water pump.

also its not my opinion it is the truth. that is why so many american auto companies are facing bankruptcy (sp?). believe me i would love to have a viper or a vette but they are just not quality made so why shell out that kinda money for it.

i hear ya..I have had my fair share of domestics that i always had problems with...and im currently driving an Acura with 250k that ive never really had problems with *knocks on wood*

but, i still love domestic sports cars over imports..

I doubt it will be able to take down a new C6 Z06 IMO. Stock those things are running 11.7-11.5 on street tires. Put some BFG DR's on one of those things and :naughty:

I hear the road noise on the Z06's are insane though. My friends dad shied away from one after he test drove it because of the poor interior and the road noise (though he said the power on it was dead ****). He ended up buying an M3.

they took all the sound bs and heat shielding out to save weight...someone who doesnt want to buy it because of the noise, shouldnt buy it anyway..

the run at nursburgring(sp?) was actually done with the a/c on, lol..

As said they left out everything they could to save on weight... sound deadening, heat shield, etc. People that are buying this car do not care about road noise and if they do they shouldn't buy it IMO. The car is made for one thing, to go fast.

I'm waiting to meet one up on the street to see how the goat matches up to one. Though I think the chances of that are pretty slim. I see a lot of C5's and C6's on the street that want to play, though I won't even waste the gas on them.

a c6 should be able to keep up with your gto. it's the LS1 right? or is yours the LS2?

It's a LS2, though it's not stock :up2somet: (vids in sig)

My car is faster than my bud's C6. He has a bigger cam than I do, FAST intake manifold and full exhaust. So stock or even decently modded C6's are blah. A stock Z06 with a good driver might be a problem :crap:.

exactly.

noob's friends dad is a ***** if he drove it and still doesn't want the car. You shouldn't even be looking at the car if you are worried about road noise.

You think schnumacher(sp) goes "oh well, my Enzo FXX is nice, but the road noise is too much, I think I'll sell it."

It looks like a bad *** car in the pictures. Hopefully Ill be able to see it in person by the end of the summer. By the way, I ran into a c6 zo6 on the highway once, those cars are amazing. I tried to play with him a little bit but he made me feel stupid for trying. That was the first car I ever met on the streets that ever made me feel that way.
