anything wrong with this box design?

Hi,

I am planning to build a ported box and want the sub to fire upward while the vent is firing backward (90 degree offset). How will this effect the sound compared to firing both in the same direction?

This is exactly how I just built my box,sub up port back.Mine sounds pretty good.The only problem is that there is so much air moving in my trunk as well as the sub is facing right at my 6x9"s,it kind of distorts them if I don't let the seat down.
