Looks good, on the braces how did you calculate the displacment of them? I am thinking of doing a brace just like that in my next box.....

very nice lookin box, i take it you used sketchup?

yes i used sketchup.its a great program.

as for calculating displacemt of the ports i will use and example

fist take the pice of bracing and find out how much it displaces (HxWxD /1728)
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/6064/one8wb.th.jpg (http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=one8wb.jpg)
12x12x.75/1728=.0625

next make the cutout in the bracing
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1391/28go1.th.jpg (http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=28go1.jpg)
6x6x.75/1728=.0156

then subtract the 2 numbers
.0625-.0156=.047cf

this piece of bracing displaces .047cf hope that helps a bit.

free plans? hell yeah, shoot them over ! :)
great looking box, Interesting technique on putting the pieces together.

i wish i had that many clamps.... i've only got 6. So it's screws for me.

thanks for the explanation, was hoping I was calculating them atleast semi-correctly.

no matter how many clamps you have there are still places that are going to require screws. i think i used 6 1 1/4" screws:D.
thanx for the comments guys keep em comeing
