Hey,
I need to build a box for my SE 12", but I don't know how big to build it. I've searched the forums, and read box building tutorials, but I have probably missed something. I'd like the box ported to about 28 or 30 hz. I saw RE's box plans on their site, but all it says is 12" box. How can one box design be used for a SE, SX, MT, XXX, or MX interchangeably? I don't know what to do. Could anyone point me in the right direction or help me? All replies are highly appreciated.

Cordially,
John

re's site gives specs/volumes for SQ and SQL. SQL for a 12 SE is 1.8 tuned to 32hz.
you MIGHT look at the stickied box plans on here and see. if not, I proabably can find the dimensions for the ones I've done.

does the 1.8 cubes include displacement?

ok, i see it now, but if i want to tune it 30hz i still use that same size box? Does that include displacement in the equation? What if i go with a bigger box? how does that effect sound?
