Getting a new car soon, and i want my baby to be fully equipped. Was looking around and saw this neato alarm which takes colored snapshot right to the pager, of whom is stealing the car.

I installed an asian wolf alarm in my car... the only thing i hate about it is the siren is crappy.. it has all the right tones, just not enuff midbass... sounds like a cheap car alarm, the inital chirp is perfectly fine though

I don't think taking a picture of the theif will do you any good. The police aren't going to make an effort to compare that photo with their entire database of mugshots for a couple hundred bucks of stereo equipment. A Picaso painting yes, car audio no. Steve Meade had video evidence, and that did little to no good. Sure you'll know how he looks, but the world is a big place, and the likely hood of you ever finding that person is slim. That alarm is more of marketing and gimick than anything. You've been debating this topic for months now, and everyday that passes is potentially a day a theif may come and get your unprotected gear. So shoot HCCAFan a PM, and order a Phython 881xp, Viper 781vx, or a Clifford RSX 3.5, and call it a day.

Id say go with one of the new Dei alarms like python 990 or the equivalent viper or clifford. Range is awesome and you have the dei name.

If you really insist on not having the autostart... don't install that portion of the alarm. I know plenty of people who run the alarms I stated above, and don't use the autostart feature because they own a manual transmission based car.
