Swapping CDA-9855 Faceplate with 9835

I really hate the glidetough and I was wondering if it was an option to just swap faceplates? If so, that will be much cheaper for me. What features will I gain or lose from the swap?

Nope, sure won't work... I own a 9835... and just installed a 9855 for my friend who lives in the same apartment building as me. Not gonna happen.
