hey guys so sunday...all day...me and IONSQL worked on my kicks and tweeter pods...there was a tornado about half way throuhg ou proccess so were nto quite done but this is what we have so far...:) enjoy!
the speakers will be put in teh kick panels while just the tweeters will occups teh door panel portion...all glassed in :)

speaker ring...will be rescessed to give it that "different" look

after it got routered...is NOT sanded yet...

glassing the kicks...(the door panels warped so we are goin to start those again later)

first layer of glass on, tape removed...fits like a glove!
well thats all for now...they are going to be finished next time i can get down there!

Thanks. I bought the paint from Lowes, I guess I just got luckey with the color match.
Good luck recessing the speakers, the photo you provided looks really nice. It would be quit a challange, good luck!

is it me or you have alot of dry fibers on that kick? looks like it needs more resin.

the only place that it is dry are the places that we are going to trim off anyway...and actually most of it is just the flash on the camera ;)
plus that is only one layer...apprx 5 more will be going on. and no, we didnt remove teh dead petal...

Removing the dead peddle itself sometimes makes for a great mounting point for the drivers side. Did in mine, once removed left me two bolt holes to use for mounting :)

i kind of want to do another project, im getting tired of my door panels.
My friend has a 02 wrx in the bay area, Maybe you guys can trade?! so you can get a new set of door panels for your 3-way front stage =P

nah, im thinking of something german. something like a 04 or 05 E500. dunno.. thoes things have more electrical problems than anything else but they're so d a m n ****. i think im done with the whole 'boy racer' thing.

i will be makin custom grills over the mids to house teh tweets...
and an auto...becasue well, i had a stick...but honestly im too lazy to drive one...i live in Kansas City, MO...and well to put it simply, alot of stop adn go...:p:
