I'm planning on building a sealed box for my 12" RE SE sub. I'm looking for an internal volume of about 1.5 cuft. The sub displacement is .15 cuft, and the material is 3/4" MDF. The outside measurements I came up with are 23"W x 10"D x 15" T. Could someone please double check this for me and let me know if it looks good?

so your internal deminsions are...
(21.5 x 8.5 x 13.5) / 1728 = 1.43
then you need to subtract another .15 for the sub and that gets you down to 1.28cu'

So if I kick the depth up to 11" that will just about to the trick?

that'll give ya about 1.44 cubes net assuming you go with a single baffle w/ 3/4" mdf.
1.44 is close enough to 1.5 :)

single baffle would mean a single sheet of wood...double baffle would= 2 sheet etc ;)
