me and lookin4boom are trying to build a fiberglass box for his rli8 and were wondering if this method would work.....rip up a bunch of mat layer it up on a side and pour resin all over the top and use spreaders to push it in. so far we have been painting some resin sticking mat to it and jabbing in more resin but its kinda time consuming. Will pouring ontop of multilayrers work...?

ps were going to post our worklog soon

the problem that may come up with laying several layers of mat without resin in between each of them, and just on top of the stack, is that resin may not get all the way down, it may go as far as 2 layer but not four,

best thing is resin, glass, resin, glass. etc... and then with the roller push the air out. and excess resin.

not to mention that youll waste a lot of resin that way

glass jobs take time, not really a way around it.

I wouldnt reccomend taking short cuts. More than likely it will come back and bite you in the ***.
