ok started my fiberglass work lastnight, and i just realized a big mistake. when making one of my walls of mdf, i didn't think about how i would actually GET the mold out of my car. i got it out, but only because it flexed a little in some places, which means it'll be impossible to get back in. my hatch is weird, and i didn't think about this beforehand. can i take my jigsaw and just cut the first bottom arc out (2nd pic), and patch it up with some fiberglass?

Do it.

Fiberglass is cool like that. Hack it off... and patch it up with some mat and resin. You'll also obviously need a lot more layers ;)... for the end product.

Next time, I recommend some wide 2-4" masking tape...and some vaseline... easy to pop the mold out... better than aluminum.

OP: I had to rework my design during the process to. Just patch well and there shouldn't be a problem.

Jordan: I spent nearly $300 in supplies by the time I was done with mine. FG supplies are a lot of money.
