I have an idea for my standard cab ranger, i have a center console now for my premiere tsw-3004 but it dont have enough airspace so i was thinking of make a box that was a T shape that would go behind and seats and between the seats.

Does this look like it would work? it is going to be a sealed box unless there would be enough air space to port it. where the top is missing on the front of the T is where the sub is getting FG in.

it'll work well sealed for sure, looks awesome... not sure about about ported :/

You don't want funky shapes for any box.

that is what i was thinking for the shape, but i need a way to get more airspace for the sub, cause right now its only like 1 cube, and its not enough for that sub.

what program did u make that box in

Looks like Sketchup

yea sketchup, it took only 5 mintues, but its a good program for boxes i think

y not just make your console box taller rather than makin it a funky shape? or do you not have the hieght room?

How big of a box do you plan on making? Our subs don't need much space, there made for fairly small boxes

What if you went extend your console to the rear wall, and all the way up to the window kind of like an arch shape. :)

I'm at work so your gonna have to deal with paint :p

Something like this. You should be able to squeeze a couple feet out. :)

i like the sloped idea ramos, boomcrew i would consider that lovely paint sketch ramos did for ya :)

Not bad for MSPaint :)

You could port it in that configuration, probably.

Yeah wouldn't be too difficult to port like that. May need to flatten the top area out a little for the port. :)

right now the measurements before FG are l-34 w-9.5 height in front is 9.5 height after 45 degree upslope is 12, it fits right under the lip the ranger has, to do that funny slope that of the paint pic would be way to ugly and big, that would be like shoulder height.

here is the ranger

Need to see a pic of the inside my brother :)

i will take some pics and try to have them up in like an hour, i am at work so i will have to do it behind my bosses back....sorry

here is the pic of the center console, i am thinking of inverting the sub to get more air space, prolly the only option i have

if youre trying to go ported or need even more airspace why not at the top of the sub instead of bringing back down to seat bottom hieght, bring it up to the window.... idk if thats what the other guy was talking about but i think it'd be nice

what year ranger? 93-97? or 98+?

03-04-2006, 01:42 AM
its a 95, but there is a lip behind the rear of the seats, buy setting it uder the lip i could make it a bit longer, and i dont want a huge box between my seats, i still have to drive this 2 hours every weekend home

03-04-2006, 01:43 AM
i have a 95 standard cab too..... 1.5 sealed but i can do more......small cabs but you can find room in the cab

if i invert the sub think it would sound any better?

03-04-2006, 03:19 AM
i had badluck with inverting a 2504spl (10inch version of the woofer you have) mechanical noise was LOUD...and made it sound worste IMO.....

you got PM back with pics by the way
